What happens to my best buy credit card if they go out of business?

Will the card close? will capital one convert it so that it is able to be used everywhere?

If its strictly the store credit card and not the mastercard. It will become useless.

If its the mastercard, im sure they will convert it to a generic mastercard.

My guess is any balance will be sold to a collections company and the card will be useless moving forward.

Best Buy doesn't actually have the debt, I think my store one is HSBC. Very few stores still run their credit cards, for BB its the same as any CC transaction.

Looks like Captial One read your thread and decided to get out of the Best Buy business.

Even the store card is run by a bank not Best Buy HSBC I believe.
