It's seems cool, but what do you get for that price? Just the beer tasting?

For $40 you get unlimited beer tasting from 2-6. Nothing to buy there for tasting purposes. No tokens for tasting or anything. They give you a 2oz sampler mug for tasting. For $75 you get in an hour early and also free food the whole time your there. Also have some booths set up to teach about brewing.

It doesn't appear the proceeds go to any sort of good causes. $40 is steep for a beerfest, especially with no charity aspect.

And correct me if I'm wrong, since this a for-profit event, no homebrew will be served. That's always the best part.

For real. Get a good bit of 4 oz. pours of beers that won't be at the beer festival.

$40 can only get you so much at Avenue Pub. $40 will get you unlimited beer at the beer fest.

This is correct. Seems this is pretty much the only beer festival that I know of around here that doesn't have homebrewers.

The problem is that all the beer at this beerfest will be beer I have had before. I could do some decent 4 oz sampling damage at Avenue for $40. I'd rather have 15 4. oz samples of new beer than unlimited 2 oz. samples of familiar beers.
