NFL and NBA athletes are overrated in their terms of speed. The fastest ones are all in track. Known speedsters in other sports such as Trindon Holliday would get beaten soundly by world class sprinters.

Maybe I should take nba out of there, as a league it seems very slow and lazy to me, it has for years. But the physical ability that gets them to that level is impressive.
We have better strength and conditioning programs in our high schools than they do in lower level euro leagues. Highschool!

No world class sprinters play any other sports. They are all in track.
Marvell Wynne of the Rapids was a really elite high school sprinter. His 10.39 in high school is pretty similar to most of the NFL's speedsters.
Also, I think Luton Shelton is the really fast dude on Jamaica. Not sure about his times though.
