Speaking of Wasteland...last night I added some AI soldiers to our server. Some are friendly but will shoot back if you shoot at them and the others shoot you on site. I modified some things this morning but they are pretty much all over the map now with a concentration on Elektro, Cherno, Stary, Zelen, and both Northern Air Fields. The friendly AI roam the whole map. Both groups will shoot zombies and the evil AI hate other Evil AI.

You kill any of them you have a good chance at some nice gear.

This really sounds cool as hell, except for getting killed by one of them.

Well, I found out once they are all killed that they do not respawn until next server restart so I added more of them to each town and a few more random roaming factions. Also added a few more friendly roaming around. I also made it to where the server retstarts every 3 hours so they are always around.

Kracka, they are hard to deal with sometimes but they are still AI so you should be able to win most of the time.

Man, I checked my admin map from last night and that Ben kid was on for 4 hours just barely moving around his camp. He would talk to people in the chat and just hang out around his camp the whole time.


I just came up with two ideas I want to run by y'all

One is obvious and I have no idea why it just occured to me but I am going to add a few friendly AI to our base to protect it. They will shoot zombies, enemy AI, and if our bubble ever goes down again maybe people will see them and think it's us.

Also, I am think of building a huge base in the middle of the map somewhere and just load it down with AI. Like 40 or 50 of them and then put some incentives in the middle like a rare heli or ammo crates with rare weapons that way the server will maybe team up to take them down.

Thoughts?

OK I just added the ones to the base and am about to test them out.

After I grab some lunch I will open the map editor to build that base and add the AI into it. I am going to make it pretty epic.

I need a good flat spot for it kind of center of map.

Any ideas?

I would really make it damn near impossible to see from the ground. I would make it as cammo'd out as possible, surround it by a shitload of trees. Hell I would even put it on a mountain so the bots have the high ground. Make it as hard as possible to gain the rare shite inside. But at the same time, I would make some weak spots that could be exploited with some effort. Make it to where you would have to stumble on it on ground, and could obviously see it from the sky.

Mount Klen just below the North West AF would be pretty epic. Only bad thing is I have AI there and friendly AI that starts out at Berezino.

There or that town in the South East called Msta. That way you have to worry about zombie agro too.

I am good with either. Push people toward the east coast, plus would kinda make spawning over there not suck so much. All of the people flock to Cherno, elektro or the airstrips. I would personally like a reason to go east of elektro.

OK. I will work on it but that might not come until tomorrow. I have already restarted the server like 12 times today adjusting this AI.

I put for it to spawn in 2 and I get 6. Not sure why.
