they have 4 guys who can legitimately score from the perimeter - Erik Murphy, Kenny Boynton, Mike Rosario, and Scottie Wilbekin

Patric Young is a man beast in the paint, Casey Prather is a solid reserve off the bench. And Will Yeguette could return later, provides solid length and athleticism.

Right now I think Kansas is the biggest threat. McLemore is a superstar, plus Withey and Kevin Young are solid in the frontcourt.

They certainly are showing signs. Donovan's teams always do well in the tournament, no matter how much talent they have, and I think they have the firepower for a final 4 this year.

Maybe it's just because the beatdown I just watched is fresh in my mind, but Michigan State is going to be a tough fricking out.

But yes, I definitely have Florida in my final 4.

I don't even think they are the best team in Florida right now.

So who can we say now with 1 month to go in the regular season are the true heavyweights with a legit chance of winning the tourney?

Florida
Miami
Indiana
Duke
Michigan St
Michigan

Who else?

Louisville has shown promise at times. I'd also throw Syracuse into the pot

Louisville just can't score. They'll need a favorable bracket

Very good team and could certainly make the FF. but I don't trust Kenny Boyton as a go-to scorer winning 6 in a row.

Besides Indiana the other team I like to possible win it this year is Pitt if they start Ziegler. They fell under the radar and Dixon has them playing suffocating D with Adams anchoring the middle.

That said any one who knows college bball knows there are several teams that can win in a given year

Payne and Nix from MSU vs Young and Murphy from Florida what a matchup. The only thing stopping Florida is if they get into a game where the shots arent falling or Young gets in foul trouble they could be in trouble. I peronally think Young is the SEC player of the year just IMHO.

Billy seems to make a run at a title every 5-6 years. He recruits guys that are 3-4 year players and eventually builds a talented upperclassman-heavy team, like this year.

I thought Billy had legitimately decent chances to win a title the last two years (the year before more so than last) until Erv Walker and Kenny Boynton shot him out of back-to-back Final Four appearances.

Hopefully Boynton has finally learned to stop taking dumbass shots when up 11 deep into the 2nd half.

This year a team could come out of nowhere and win it like Syracuse did that time. I'd say the four favorites right now are duke. Miami. Mich. and Indiana though.

Stop right there. I still can't believe this guy is still in college.

What people do not realize about Florida is that they signed two damn goid players and while the focus is on UK's class, they have two transfers that are both really good. Billy Donovan is making UF into a national power that will be up there with Duke, MSU, and Kansas, that on a year in basis will be a sweet 16 team every year.

I don't actually think Florida is that good and think they'll be gone pretty early, Sweet 16ish.
