DH--the only one that might start before him would be Earl Campbell (i know, i know, Tejas and all that...) or maybe Barry Sanders (and notice i said MIGHT)

I hate to tell you but, rushing wise, what Hill did this year was statistically better than what DH in his great freshman season and he did it against better overall competition on the field and at his position. And it's even more impressive considering he was not the featured back until the 7th game of the season.

Hilliard gets half the "running down" snaps. Hill and Alexander split the rest. Faulk is your passing down back.

Charles Alexander - and he's my least favorite player of the alumni you listed.
If I had all four of those guys on the roster at the same time, I'd probably have Faulk play the slot receiver/3rd down back position, Hilliard would spell Alexander and Hill would beef up and become a FB.
But I'm old fashioned.

Love the other guys, but Charlie is the best combination of speed (reportedly clocked a 4.35 forty) and power (215 lbs. which was big for a speed back in the 70s) I have seen in 40 years of watching Tigah football.
Really old timers would want Cannon in this discussion.

Of those four in their prime, there would be absolutely no question about starting Alexander.
Then Hilliard.
Then Faulk.
Then Hill.

*never saw Billy Cannon or Jerry Stovall play, but I imagine if I had I'd have Cannon above all.
