I can't believe you stole Lester Liston I wasn't going to pick him until like round 18. How did you even find out about him?

I was looking for guys who could start right away and found him. Checked out his film which was great and picked him up. I thought it might be a round or two early, but I've learned you can't sit on picks in this thing.

I had him on list of guys I was looking at. I just don't know how he will come back from his injury (Broken femur).

I wish the best for the kid, though. Thankfully it was a clean break and it should heal fine. Problem is, how long does it take for him to get over it.

Writeups on earlier players...

Ahmad Thomas, S, OU

Yes, I would like my safeties to look like this. What really drew me to Thomas was how violent he is. Very forecful tackler. But he does so without being a big hit or bust type of player. Thomas got an OU offer, pounced on it and never looked back. He's an early enrollee and the Sooners need secondary help, so not out of the question he could play right now. He's already got the size.

OU's defense has been a hot mess for a few years now, but with Mike Stoops returning, that should restore order. During Stoops' watch, they churned out a lot of notable DBs. Stoops liked Thomas, wooed him from Florida and has him on campus already. He's got the potential to be that S/LB hybrid they once had with Roy Williams.

Davarez Bryant, DE, FSU

Bryant is all upside to me. He's a long, muscular guy that is pretty thickly built already. I think he's in line to red-shirt, but what I really like is his athleticism. He's definitely a project, and I probably should have held off on picking him, but with travelling this weekend, tough to be prepared. Anyhow, no excuses.

I plan on running more of a Wade Phillips one-gap 3-4, so my ends and DT don't have to be huge behemoths that absorb blocks like Saban prefers. I want athletic, penetrating types. I think Bryant can continue to fill out and be in the 270 range, which works well enough, though not entirely ideal for a 3-4. He plays stronger than his size though, so that's what I'm banking on here. Bryant's first year of football was THIS year.

I'm going to go with Adrian Baker, CB, Clemson. Long, lean, and really fast. Looks like he has good upside to me.
