Loved Spaten until I tried other Dunkels. Still will grab some every now and then, but it isn't as adventurous as some other Dunkels.

The ones I've been drinking lately were purchased together and are dated 12/03/12, which is still within the 3 month window, and they have been great. I checked the date on the bottle I cracked tonight and it was 9/10/12, which explains why it did not have the great hops. Lesson learned in that you need to check the date on each bottle when you pull several off of the shelf.

I didn't see it at Calandro's, and I was looking for it. It's possible I overlooked it; is that where you get it from?

I think I prefer Old Raspy to BCS. The first BCS I had wasn't as good as I'd hoped, the chocolate wasn't very pronounced. The 2nd one I had was a lot better though.
