My F150 can tow 11,300 LBS. I doubt your boat weighs more than that. Granted, the diesels can two twice that amount. But higher buying price, higher maintenance, and more expensive fuel and UREA.

honestly unless you're pulling machinery on a regular basis or a big arse boat there's little need for one.
