Anyone tried it? It's delicious. Very similar to red stripe. Brewer in Oregon.

They had them for 2 bucks each at the Marigny as a Super Bowl special. I'll definitely be ordering some in the future.

Never tried it, but it seems to be a fashionable beer choice as of late among some groups.

Doesn't full sail make it? I don't know if I've ever had it.

Never tried it. I prefer ales over lagers though.

I think Full Sail brews it. They have an IPA I treat as a session beer as its on 6% or so.

Not my first choice, but at $2 at a bar I'd drink a bunch of them.

My neighborhood place sells them at $2 a piece so I drink them quite often. It's a good crisp lager.

Tried it at a beer fest once. Simple but solid if I remember correctly.

Good lager is an oxymoron. Just not my style at all.

My local liquor store had it last summer for $9/case. It wasn't bad at all for that price.

Perhaps you have been limited to American Style pale lagers or Heineken. Samual Adams Nolbe Pils is a great beer to go with a meal.

Dortmunder is a German-style that is stronge and fuller than most lagers. Try Gold by Great Lakes Brewing Company.

Octoberfest style are lagers that I look forward to each fall.

The Eisbock and Doopplebock styles have big powerful flavors that have a high ABV and are lagers also.

For many of us "lager" is just another name for beer. Not so.

You're fighting the good fight, but you won't find many fans of German lagers on here outside of a couple of us

Tetu can back me up on this comment. One of the absolute best beers I have ever had was a German Marzen on cask at the Avenue Pub. I refuse to believe that "lagers" are boring as a whole.

This! While I like ales better because they seem to offer more styles, I still enjoy a good Pilsner, Bock, Oktoberfest and adjunct Lager.

I'm a fan of several doppelbocks, and Weihenstephaner Korbinian is one of my favorite beers of any kind

Perhaps, but when one has to point to a specific beer to prove that not all lagers are boring, then it kind of goes with what I'm saying. Outside of a few specific styles, I'm not a big fan of lagers. Generally speaking, they lack the complexity of the ales that I prefer.

I do appreciate the Dopplebock style and enjoy several of the "ator" beers...

I also had a couple of decent dortmunders and of course I imbibe some oktoberfest beers during football season as session beers because you can drink several, not break your own heart, and they taste better than bud lime

Perhaps, but when one has to make such a generalized statement to prove the point that he knows so much about beer and his palate is so exquisite, others need to prove them wrong
