Deals seem too good to be true. Do you show you and try to use the coupon and the server say they dont take them? Legit or jip?

I've seen more and more restaurants posting signs saying that they are no longer accepting restaurant.com coupons. So your SOL if you've got one for that place

Used one once and it was not very well received. Our waiter was a jackass anyways, but apparently the restaurant had already request to be out of their loop.

I've used them before without issue.

Some problems have occurred in how restaurant.com reimburses the restaurants. That's why you see some rejecting the coupons.

Usually show it to them in the beginning. I have used quite a few. I live in Houston now, so I know the selection is much better in Houston than in Baton Rouge. I haven't ever had a problem using one though.

The only problem is that most of them require 20% included gratuity, so you end only saving a few bucks per coupon. For instance, I bought a $25 certificate for $4, but I have to spend a minimum of $35 with 20% gratuity. So for a bill of $35 + $7 tip + $4 for GC - $25 gift certificate = $21 spent at shitty Indian restaurant. Diarrhea, priceless.

They are really only a good deal when you buy the $100 ones and go all out at a nice place.

eta: join their email list and its almost always 80% off or something so you only pay $2 for the certificate.
