Did Nike have a Super Bowl commercial?

I don't recall seeing any shoe company with an ad. What gives?

The Air Jordan SB commercials were awesome back in the day.

Sketchers had and ad.
Seems like addidas had one but may have not been for shoes.

Nike doesn't need one. When your next biggest competitor in the market had $10 billion less in revenue than you in the previous year, you don't need to do much advertising.

Nike just signed Rory and they're pairing him up with Tiger in a lot of new ads. Super Bowl ads cost like 4 million a year. They can pass on that and use their ad dollars in better spots. The impact of a SB ad would have been minimal considering the cost.

It's never a bad idea to advertise, no matter how much of the market share you have.

They did have their logo plastered all over 22 players on every snap though, so they probably figured their brand had enough air time.

Considering their logo was on every player, coach, and person on the sideline, plus the championship shirts have the logo on them, I think they advertised plenty
