Would he feel this way had he won a Superbowl?

Do most athletes desire HOF or a Superbowl win?

The HOF seems like it is a more honorable personal recognition

There are a lot of mediocre players with super bowl rings

If Cris Carter had won a superbowl, he wouldnt have been a mediocre player with a superbowl ring.

Get your head out of your arse.

We're talking HOF caliber players idiot.

The point went over your head

Any NFL player can get a super bowl ring

Only the elite get HOF recognition

That type of individual recognition is a bigger deal than a super bowl ring when evaluating someone's career

Agreed

Unless you're a QB then maybe it's different because you're looked at as a team leader

If you're a WR (the most egotistical position on the field) you're probably more into personal accolades.

No...I got your idiotic point.

Garrett hartley has a super bowl ring.

I am asking your dumbass if guys that are HOF caliber would cherish the bust more than the ring....

My point is I dont think Strahan will feel so black and white about this and say they HOF announcement was the best day of his life.

And I sure as frick bet Marino would like to have a ring.

I guess it depends on the player. All I know is that Cris Carter was probably the hardest worker in the League. The guy perfected catching the football on the sidelines, he would practice one-handed catches, and he just wanted to win.

Congratulations, Cris.

Well if you already know everything why are you asking the question?

I don't know about this...he said his son would introduce him because he has had a difficult football story himself

Most desire Superbowl, IMO. Everyone knows CC is an all-time great WR, so I doubt the validation of the HOF is greater than finally winning a SB.

Clearly you don't because you said

Most players are not HOF's so your question was clearly not directed in the manner you're pointing towards now.

I believe being able to bill yourself as a HOF player means bigger fees for endorsements, personal appearances, card/autograph shows, etc

I would say HOF.It comes at a time when you've been able to put some perspective on winning or not winning a Super Bowl. You're enshrined in Canton with the all-time greats. And I like Chris Carter. He was a Great WR.

Yeah, but no one wants to buy a HOF ring on eBay when you need some quick cash

I thought when his son decided to go and play for Coach Saban and Alabama it was the greatest day of his life? How many greatest days in my life can one person actually have in one life?

I'm sorry that you don't understand that athletes(which the NFL is full of) =/= HOF players.
