I live in an apartment so I don't have to call an a/c repairman. I was just wondering if I'd be a bad tenant for calling about this after hours
But I'm gonna try these tips. And I definitely need to change the filter before they come. Haven't even thought about it since I moved in 4/5 months ago

not sure where you live, but if you call, an answering service will probably pick up and just say that it's not an emergency and that they'll be by on Monday to fix it. That's what happened when I had my AC problem. No one is coming down at 7:30 on a Saturday night, super bowl eve.
The calls are also forwarded to cell phones. So, they'll get your message but choose whether to respond or not.
