SAG Awards are the worst of the big awards every year. they consistently get it wrong in movies (particularly with nominees). this year all of these deserving actors were snubbed despite being nominated for the more prestigious awards as individually noted -

- Joaquin Phoenix (nominated for Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe)

- Christoph Waltz (nominated for Oscar, BAFTA, won Golden Globe)

- Leonardo DiCaprio (nominated for Golden Globe)

- Emmanuelle Riva (nominated for Oscar, BAFTA)

- Amy Adams (nominated for Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe)

I am starting to get real tired of Anne Hathaway's speeches when she wins.

she has been the media's choice to win for nearly a year now and they have been campaigning for her since day one for one reason and for one reason only - because she did a good job of singing a song for a few minutes in a foreign musical.

Helen Hunt, Sally Field, and Amy Adams all acted circles around Hathaway this year IMO.

It always bugged me that Busy Philips wasn't in the opening credits for Freaks and Geeks, despite being one of the most important characters on the show.

But they are also a pretty good indicator of who is going to win the Oscar.

hence why I specified "(particularly with nominees)"

I know Meryl Streep won the Oscar last year, but didn't win the SAG award. off the top of my head I also remember Tilda Swinton winning the Oscar a few years ago for "Michael Clayton", but not winning the SAG either. same thing for Marion Cotillard in 2008. there have been several. I think the BAFTA awards are the best indicator of who will win the Oscar, but then again even they have mixed it up a bit in the past (and are usually right).

It's a terrific show, and top to bottom the actors are probably the best ensemble on television. It's just not my thing, personally, so I didn't watch past season 1.

Sorry but Jessica Chastain deserved that award. Haven't seen The Impossible but Im willing to bet that Naomi Watts really delivered in that movie too. Lawrence has all the hype right now

Disagree, but Chastain was great in Zero Dark Thirty.
