There's a reason law abiding citizens get permits to carry....it's for protection against wacko's that may take innocent lives any time & any where. I bet this liberal councilman would welcome this veteran's help should something like this occur during their meeting: LINK

V, I may disagree with you quite often but I appreciate the chance to hear you out. I don't think that living in a bubble that simply parrots back my beliefs is a good thing. I don't get a vote here, but I hope you get to stick around.

Only a little. Apparently I don't have the "right attitude" and my comments aren't appreciated
And people think that Politically Correct speech is only promoted by liberals. This is a perfect example of censure by the right for what they see as politically incorrect speech.

That statement in a vacuum means nothing. If you're referring to the guy carrying a concealed weapon, I don't criticize him if it was legal for him to carry it on the premises (I'm curious why he felt compelled to make a point out of it, however )
the councilman asked if he was carrying genius, please don't talk about things you obviously don't care enough to learn the facts about.....

Holy shite. Are you just looking for an "e-fight" with someone that you assume disagrees with you, whether or not they do? Yes, the dumbass councilman asked the question after the guy (clearly, a hero of the first magnitude and one of the greatest Americans in history ) talked about his concealed carry permit. My point is this. If you have a concealed carry permit, what is the point of making raising the issue in the first place at a city council meeting (clue for the slow ... that is a separate question from whether he was within his rights or the protesting city councilman is a dumbass).

That was unbelievable. The citizen handled himself in an admirable manner. Very calm and matter of fact. The councilman was incredibly (even for Progressive standards) childish in his response. Wow.

It's easy to second guess, but that cop had plenty of options to shoot that guy. He was holding the gun pointed down, standing off from the council.
