What is the boards opinion on this place in downtown BR? Cool atmosphere? Bar? Food?

Kitchen knows what it's doing. Service can be sophisticated (in a good way).

Yes he can, I have yet to eat at his restaurant but have eaten at the James Beard house the three times he has cooked there
