They work fine in my Kimber. I had several 8 rounders but I can only find a few of them now.

ProMag actually makes a good 1911 mag and can be had for around $18. They also have 10 round mags for about $21

They seem to be running about $36 for 8 round mags. Is that fair or jacked up even though they wouldn't fall under "high capacity"?

My Kimber only takes 7 round Wilson Combat
Their customer service was outstanding and allowed me to switch out four separate 8 round mags for four 7 round mags

I should say it takes 8 round mags, but I would get a failure on the last round almost every single time. Switched to 7 round mags, and it works flawlessly
