I have mixed feelings on this. I hate the way some of them died.
Yeah, that was a complete bitch move and no way for a warrior to die. Gannicus should have died an honorable and glorious death in battle.
This war pretty much hardened him.
You could instantly tell he was a grade A douchebag wearing all white and the way he was looking at Crassus, it was shite eating smirk.
Still, I would watch a spinoff.
By the way, here's a Q & A session from Entertainment Weekly with the showrunner of Spartacus breaking down who survived and who died in the 'Spartacus' series finale and why it happened the way it did.

Yes it was great! And it truly out did Rome by a large margin.

awesome finale, pissed Gannicus died. But yeah, I can respect the ending. Loved the "I AM SPARTACUS" with the original at the end of the credits.

I was thinking about that when I read the reviews... We never knew his real name all we know is Spartacus and the Thracian.

I believe his real name is mentioned a couple times in the first season. Such an awesome finale though, sorry for gannicus he was such a boss and should have punked Caesar but that dude is a giant puss

Such an awesome and epic finale! No stupid blood hitting the camera scenes. The battles were unreal. The showing of characters lost on every strike of Spartacus sword was cool. Even the credits were good. I wish Spartacus would have rode off in the sunset. But it was a great ending to the series.
