Cabelas still has plenty of ammo in all pistol calibers. Also have 223 PMC bronze for $8.99 a box. No limit on the number of boxes. Didn't see any 22 though. There where quite a few folks buying ammo so no telling how long it will last.

I almost bought some Eley 22lr for 11c/rd. 1000rd for $110 seemed too steep so I backed out since I dont know anything about that brand.

yea that is wayyyy too steep. Top quality .22LR such as Minimags or M22 run about 0.05-0.07 cpr when its in stock

I took a fast track to firearms. I stopped playing basketball after I graduated LSU so guns became my new obsession/hobby

Yea I knew it was upper tier ammo, but not worth it for the average .22LR shooter like us

So is mine. I'm right handed and left-eye dominant. Takes me at least 10 minutes of steady aiming with my right eye before vision starts clearing up for me.

Same. I didn't realize how bad my right eye was until I started shooting. Left eye is perfect vision. Right eye is terrible

I fought with that myself early on. Best to keep both eyes open and use the same eye as your dominant hand if possible.

I missed my first two deer trying to shoot right handed and aiming left eyed.

Its great now that I know how to use it to my advantage but it sucked in the beginning.

How do you use it to your advantage? I am right handed, left eye dominant. I still try to shoot with my right eye b/c its too awkward to shoot right handed and look through my left eye. However, it costs me in accuracy

I just shoot left handed. I can shoot right handed but its easier and more natural to shoot left handed even though I'm right handed otherwise.
