Did Smart really get a look at by the Eagles or was it a lie?

From what I can gather, involving Grantham and Smart is that it's jibber jabber coming from the Eagles that they would be interested, but no confirmation exists that any real meetings or discussions have taken place.

Richt is nervous so AJC fabricates a story.

Everyone knows Smart has only been interested in the Auburn job, but the NCAA investigation scared him off - especially when they didn't answer his questions regarding it.

As a Bama fan I would prefer he gets some experience as an HC away from Saban before possibly taking over at Alabama.

saw him last night at senior bowl party. Said he was going wasnt just waiting for BAMA job but for the right job to open up. I didnt get the impression he was ready to make the jump to the NFL at this time.
