I bought this during one of those sales for 12 bucks.

I have to say it is a ton of fun and I really wish Schilling would have fared better in his venture. I saw he was selling his bloody sock from the world series to try to pay off the debt.

Steriods or not, he was an older gamer who wanted to use his money to make some good games. He succeeded. It is very fun so far.

I hope he can provide for his family after this.

I would say for people to buy the game, but it wont help Schilling at this point. It will all go into EA's pocket.

I've heard it is fun, if not a bit easy.

The problem was they were paying everyone exorbitant amounts of money and they were a little start-up company that didn't have the recognition to recoup that money on sales.

Agreed. I would have liked to see the MMO based on the same universe.

it was probably the best 1st offering a company had put out there, but lack of experience in the dev world killed him. He saw huge revenue other games made and thought he could do the same without a previous franchise that had a fanboy following.

I really liked the game you did become OP in the game but you do in Witcher2 too.

I wouldn't be surprised. It is better to get a following with a solo RPG (cheaper, shorter release time, less infrastructure) and then lead into the MMO. The change was logical and practical, even if it didn't save them.

I believe they still had intentions to do the MMO based on what I've read.

It was fun but just about every single dungeon had the same layout. It got really repetitive.

It was a good game imo. The only thing about it is that once you reach a certain level you pretty much became a God.

Sorry playing and reading, missed the joke. I'm gonna miss THQ though they should have stayed out of the hardware market.

Amalur is an excellent example of why publishers and developers shy away from new IPs.

This thread makes me want to play it again, maybe when I am done with Mass Effect 1-3 I will play it while waiting on Last Light.
