He did the right thing by lying in that instance. By lying, he was the only ND player distracted. Otherwise, it would have been a huge distraction for the entire team.

Once we see the interview transcripts, it's going to add another layer of bullshite to cloud things even further, but this time, they'll expect that we just go with it, because he admits to lying "for a short time".
A lot of people are getting Teo fatigue, which I think the CAA people are counting on, so that no one questions the interview too heavily. Like someone else said, I hope Deadspin's got another one in the chamber for this story.
