Team Glock...any 45 GAP owners out there?

Bought mine about 8-10 years ago and love it. I've heard many compare it to the Remi 1911 but I've never had the opportunity to shoot a Remi 1911 side by side with my gun, so it's tough for me to compare the 2 guns.
Any owners of the glock 45 GAP ever shoot it and the Remi 1911 side by side?
Pic of mine before I lost it in a boating accident a few months ago....

I have no experience with said weapon or round.

I hate it. It takes everything good about .45 ACP and makes it slower, shorter, and less powerful. Just shoot .45 ACP.

I think it is more praised for the guns performance....the things you mentioned are about the bullet's performance, right?
Meaning... Recoil, gun size, handling, rate of fire...etc.
You do realize that it's not just the bullet....there is actually a Glock 45 GAP "gun" that designed with different specs that is specific to the GAP versus the Glock ACP 45
Glock 21 .45 ACP--------Glock 37 .45 GAP
Magazine Thickness 1.15 inch-------0.904 inch
Grip Circumference 7.75 inches------7.375 inches
Grip Thickness 1.292 inches------1.182 inches
Grip Front to Back 2.155 inches ------2.08 inches
Trigger Reach 2.938 inches------ 2.793 inches
Barrel Length 4.605 inches ------4.59 inches

All those differences are negligible.
It's basically the same gun with a less effective cartridge

Yeah I was talking about the round.

Yeh..I agree, it ain't much of a difference whe it comes to specs/dims of the gun....
I have shot the AcP and the GaP side by side and the recoil is considerably less. As far as the round being less effective....I agree, but I'd have to say that the difference in "effectiveness" (it's a 45 round ) is probably as about as marginal as the specs on the gun, right? Ii mean, your aren't disntace shooting with a 45 pistol.
So I guess it's 6 one way...half dozen the other.
