Would not change the bats but may help offense a little. I'm in favor!

“I was discouraged where the game was going,” Leggett said. “What I see now, it's become more of a bunting game. The thing that bothers me is we're not mirroring the excitement of what Major League Baseball is doing. You turn on the TV, you've got guys hitting center-field home runs, opposite-field home runs. I think I can count on one hand the amount of balls hit out to center field or the opposite field all season long. I'm not sure it's the best thing for the game. That's why I kind of drummed up interest, because I know they're not going to change the bat. The only other way to inject some life into it is to go to the minor league ball.”

If they do this then why did the change the bats in the first place?

Because they're frickin overreacting buzzkill idiots who'll never admit they were wrong to intentionally destroy the hitting game.

while im no fan of the old 21-18 results in the day of the rockety bats, i think they did overdo it a little. overall, i say, leave it the frick alone. im used to the small ball strategy now.

Livelier is one funny looking word. It's actually the correct spelling.

Still, I'd go with "more lively".

I did too, that was some exciting shite. And for all those saying, "oh, it was all the bats", then why were we hitting way more HRs than other teams who were using the very same bats?

I honestly did not mind a MINOR downward adjustment in the bats but what we've got now is WAY overboard. I still like the game, but the thrill that it was is long gone.

The last bat change was overkill, it was a nice medium were it was at.

I'm guess this is just them trying not to look like idiots and the bat manufactures are probably pissed too.

Cheaper to do this than admit they made the wrong move in the first place going to the boring dumbed down bats which make the game more unwatchable now than ever before.

Everybody liked it but it was starting to get a little ridiculous when pop flies were carrying over the center field wall. I don't think offense is the only way to create exciting baseball but I'd welcome a little more jump in the ball.

It's crazy that college baseball doesn't have its own page on ESPN.
