No shite dumbass arse my parents lost their home to flooding, they don't fricking cry about it or use it as a sympathy card. . It was 7 years ago ofcourse my parents have moved on and they feel the same way. My wife helped delivering water and food as well as the cleanup working with the Red Cross not sure how you were affected but everyone I know that was is tired of it as well. I can understand though with these performances they need all the sympathy votes they can get.

Mel Tillis does the same exact thing. Stutters like crazy talking but it all goes away when he starts singing.

Can't help but to pull for Lazaro

On a serious note has the X-Factor taken over as far as talent is concerned.

The producers tell them what to say and what stories to tell. That sells people on voting. It's not the kids. It's the producers.

Different people deal with trauma in different ways and Katrina was traumatic for a lot of people, many of whom had nearly nothing to begin with and less when it was over.

While I don't want to hear about it all the time, I understand the producers picking up the stories and I understand people affected talking about it. My friends who lost homes and evacuated to my house still do.

I'll keep Cortez.

Preacher Vincent
Hawaii Bryant
Nola Burnell
Lazaro
Cortez

That's who I think should make it through.

Seem to really be trying to pull in a certain demographic this year, will be interesting to see how successful that is.

I gotta believe the Lion Princess is the first to go, don't see the attraction there at all.

That's great to hear they are ok and doing well. Some folks were affected worse than you and yours and some were not.

I understand some peoe do play that card but I just give them the benefit of the doubt until they themselves start shoving it down my throat.

Like the Rihanna wannabe on X-Factor talking bout her kid and being a single mom EVERY single time she was on stage/camera. Like she's the only single mom in america

Kind of like the really short guy in the beginning always mentioning that. Hell everyone could see that, move forward on talent not on sympathy.

Well, that surprised me. Some yahoo is going to make it, now. Lazaro better be in if they got rid of Bryant.

Preacher man is in. No surprise.

Exactly. It's aight to talk about where you came from or what makes you interesting. But after that we should talk about your talent or lack thereof

Yeah sorry to get pissy about it, just gets on our nerves when we have moved on. I say we I was in Iraq all of 05 so I'm speaking from their experience not mine. Lazara makes it

Crap! I stood up, clapped and got all teary eyed! I want him to be on the live shows so he doesn't have to sell ice cream anymore.
