the announcers made me wince more than once comparing lsu's performance last year with ND's.

Musberger - in the 1st quarter -"LSU feels your pain".

Heck, what was the score at halftime? was it 9-0 or 12-0. bama's next score was a field goal so we were in the ball game until late, thanks to our defense.

notre dame just got crushed from every angle. LSU at least had defense and special teams. I remember bama posters stating they were still worried at 15-0, expecting our coaching staff on offense to do something and make a change so we could score.

but the announcers made the comparison that we were as bad as ND over and over. Not fair imo. we were embarrassed, but not as bad as nd was embarrassed. 28-0 at half.

What do you expect?

They didn't want to embarass their darling ND, so let's focus the shame onto a school that had the standard of beating a division rival twice in a season...

A standard no other school will have to meet for a while.

These people run CFB now. Deal with it.

That playoff is gonna be awesome!

Look everyone knows ND had no chance. The ONE team that could have beaten BAMA on a stage that big would be a team like LSU stacked with legit NFL talent.

I contend, looking at the amount of Pro talent oozing from the 2011 team, last year's beat down was worse.

Sure the score was not out of hand until the last 5 minutes but LSU ran 4 offensive plays on Bama's side of the 50 all game.

Don't want to get talked about... don't lay an egg in the biggest game of the year.

I agree with your post but you had to see that coming. There was literally no good outcome in the game for LSU. No way last night was equal to 1/9 but pussberger gonna pussberger.

Am I the only one who was appalled at the transparent bias in the annoucning crew? In the first quarter, they were practically lobbying the referees for Notre Dame.

My favorite moment: Muskberger and Herbie loudly lament the "terrible" punt interference call because the Bama returner was never touched. On air, they solicit the advice of the head of NCAA officiating, who tells them that the rule doesn't require contact, merely a subjective judgment of interference. He believes the call was good.

The head of officiating is never heard from again.

LSU could have won that game last year if we'd have ANY FORM of offense.

The D got gassed.

Familiar friggin' story. Same thing happened vs. Florida. Same thing happened vs. Clemson.

Frick ND ... last night was a repeat of what LSU did to ND in the Sugar Bowl ... a 41-14 beatdown on Fat-arse Weis and Brady Quinn ... that could have been a lot worse .. just like last damn night.

You could see it in ND players' eyes on the first drive ... they were scared and knew they had no business on that field with Bama.

Agreed, but the egg laid by Notre Dame cracked much harder and faster. At least there was the sense last year that the LSU defense may come through with a play to turn the game around and put them right back in it only down one score. ND was done as soon as Lacy crossed the goal line for the first TD.

As crappy as we were ... we were still realistically in that game in the 3rd quarter.

That's why so many, myself included, were so pissed that we never even tried a switch to JL.

ND vs. Bama was over by the end of the first.

While we're at it, I remember muffberg and herbie mentioning LSU is a positive light a few times as well. I cant quote but they gave us some respectful comments.

You do understand that the official with whom they spoke was Rogers Redding...former head of officials in the SEC...from the SEC office, right?

Agreed. ND is the one of the media darlings though.

I knew you were going to say something along these lines as soon as I saw your avatar. Ive been posting on this site for a very short amount of time and can already trust that any and every post you make will belittle LSU. You would truly be a happier individual if you just stopped watching the Tigers. And I don't say that as some generic comment towards all "negatigers," but to you specifically. Seriously, you will be a lot better off as an individual if you just move on from this hobby and find yourself a new one. LSU football is making you miserable and you should really rid yourself of it.

+1

You should also ask his opinion on the Dark Knight Rises (not on this board of course).
