Is the NFL the only thing that can stop Saban and Alabama?

Yes I know they're beatable since LSU just did it last year but they seem to have everything fall their way right now. They will be loaded again next year and the odds on favorite to win an incredible 4 titles in 5 years. This train needs to be stopped. Do we need the NFL to step in and take this guy away and give everyone else a chance?

PS If I were an LSU fan I would really hate the miami dolphins. How many title would LSU have had he stayed there

It's not the Dolphins' fault. Nick had that itch to go pro. Wayne Huizenga made an offer that Nick couldn't refuse. We had him too early in his career.

Laugh all you want but LSU is fricking close to Bama.

We beat them last year and they got a do over. We should have beat them this year. I also think A&M is a sleeping giant that is on the rise. Those 2 programs are really the only thing that can stop Saban.

I hate that LSU let it all slip away in the last minute against Bama

I remember stating the case that NFL coaches lasted less than 3 yrs on average when he left for Miami. He didn't listen to me.

He'll get complacent if he doesn't move....it's his personality to do new things.

No sometimes you need a little luck to win championships or even make it to one. Even though Alabama was obviously the better team tonight, it could have easily been any other number of teams like Georgia tonight that could have won. This thing goes in cycles. Everyone has a little run. Florida had a little 3-4 year run and USC did awhile back too. Bama will be dominant but the competition in the SEC is too great for this kind of success to happen for very long.

I know a lot of people hate recruiting "rankings". But if you want to compete with Saban, you have to recruit at a comparable level.

Saban is such a great coach, you're not going to beat him with inferior talent too often.

The only programs I see right now that can recruit at that high of a level to compete are LSU, USC, Texas, Florida, and a couple of others. One of these programs needs to step up and take the torch away from Bama. The same way Saban took it from Florida who was on the verge of winning 3 of 4 titles before they ran into Saban.

I agree with this, and after watching tonight's game, I relaized that no matter how good USC can recruit, when you have Kiffin as the coach and 10 less scholis per year, you won't be able to compete. Maybe in 4 or 5 years, but USC is done for a while.

I agree. And not to mention you have Mack Brown wasting talent down there in Texas.

yeah not expecting much the next 2 years. I do think we dump Kiffins sorry arse next year and hopefully bring in a top flight coach that can put us back on the right path.
