Regular ones, not serial number 1, go for around 5k. While thats not chump change, thats no $25k either. I would shoot a regular one, clean the shite out of it, then put it up for good.

I just think it's kinda dumb to dress up an AR. You're polishing a turd in the looks department IMO, they have just made a turd look as good as physically possible.

I agree 100%. However, they did a good enough job that I think it looks good. I dont think it would look good in the sand box or even in the woods but I believe it has its own beauty.
One of my favorites is a Uberti Winchester 1873 Carbine with the case hardened receiver. The AR10 is just a modern version of this rifle.
