Any of you guys play this game (both the original and the Vietnam xpack)?
I just bought both of them on steam last week for $17 and love it.

played a lot of this game on console. i was terrible. couldnt even lift a helicopter off
enjoyed bf3 way more but that came way after bfbc2
stout, broke, and myself played THE frick out of Conquest Panama Canal...lol.
3 of us in a tank doin work. wed all have mines everywhere too. good times

Ever since I started playing first person shooters on my PC, I haven't been able to go back to console gaming (other than sports games). It just doesn't feel right.

It's pretty much the only game I play. May be my favorite console game of all time (multi-player, that is).

Helicopters were so OP in BC2 with no jets to keep them occupied. I remember trying to tag copters with that secondary tracer, so useless

I have fonder memories of BC2 than I do of BF3.
I used to love racking up anti tank mine kills in that game. I was also a hell of a lot more effective in the skies as well.

The regular copters aren't impossible to tag with tracers. Now the Apaches... those are a bitch.

Man I played the hell out of this game. I would take BFBC2 over BF3, but I havent touched it since bf3 came out. Playing BLOPS makes me want to get BF back out. To me, COD is fun for running around trying to grease folks, but BF can hold my attention for a lot longer. COD has nothing that can touch rush on valparaiso.

That seems to be the general consensus. I haven't played BF3 yet, but I'm completely satisfied with BC2/BC2 Vietnam. I only have it for PC, I am finding more and more servers are populated as of late.
The only bitch about this game is that I can unload an entire clip of SMG rounds into some dude 10 yards away, and somehow he is still able to bum rush me and kill me via knife in one hit. Pisses me off every time.

Two words. Destructible environments.
Didn't like the wall? Blow it up. Got s sniper in a building? Bring it the frick down.
Can't do that in bf3 and it was the biggest problem I had with it.

Never could get into BF3. Too much running an gunning, close-quarters combat (the Rush modes anyway). I love being able to creep around and enjoy the maps of BC2. Take time to plot maniacal acts against others.

Maps were way more awesome in BC2.
