O'Brien has informed the school he is staying put. Cue the Eagles and Browns and Chip Kelly once this Fiesta Bowl ends

good for him and for PSU, but I don't see how his stock will ever be higher than it is at his point... and that's not to say he won't still be a good coach.... but once the sanctions truly sink in, winning more than 5 games will be a hell of an accomplishment.

O'Brien like Boise's Petersen has a special needs child which will make moving his family a bit more complicated.

I'd agree if he had been there for a longer period but since he's only been there a year I doubt it's a huge issue.

Cleveland would b smart to hire Ken Wisenhunt. He's the best coach available. Arizona went full retard by firing him.

I am not saying O'Brien will stay at Penn State,
but I doubted he would uproot his family twice in 12 months. A 'special needs child' is never an issue to those unaware of the dynamics involved raising one.

Wasn't it somewhat of a dick move to go interview with NFL teams and then come back to your current employer and say you're staying? "I can't abandon those kids".

There wasn't much pub about his interviews/discussions with the two teams last night, but it almost appeared that he was not offered the job and then all of a sudden acted like he didn't want to abandon "those kids".

EXTREMELY SHITTY MOVE by O'Brien to put on the face he did this season, then interview with NFL teams and only staying after a booster ponies up $1.3M more for his salary.

O'Brien is as bad a person as JoePa in my book.

As bad a Joe, are you high ? In to addition to turning a blind eye to Sandusky, that old mudder phucker held the program hostage for a decade by not retiring.

Staying beyond this year a risky move on O'Brien's part I doubt his stock will ever be as high as it is today.

I wish all of you who bitch about coaches getting raises being disloyal worked for me. I wouldn't pay you shite, but I'd make sure everyone knew how loyal you were.

Coaching is a job like any other, don't fool yourselves.
