Figured this could go on the recruiting board as he was a good recruiter for us. What does this do for LSU recruiting? Does Texas become a bigger player in LA now?

This is oh so funny. Texas always trying to play the role of innocent and claiming Porter was dirty and here they go and hire him.

He should be gone now. Texas is probably the easiest school to win big at. So many amazing resources and built-in advantages for them. It's scary to think what a top coach could do there.

Well that sucks he just talked our tailback at East Paulding High in GA into committing to Arizona State a few weeks ago.

Agree completely thunderbird. I'm guessing that magically now all the previous ties to Lyles and all the shite their people spewed about how dirty he was while at LSU will be forgiven or excused away. Pure hypocrisy. I've been looking through Longhorn sites periodically through the day since hearing the news and it's been noticeably left out or quiet about his alleged "SEC style" recruiting.
Agree a desperate move. Imo a smart one but still desperate. They recognize that TAM is burning it up right now and figure they have to play by the same rules(they always have anyway no matter what they say publically).
Won't effect LSU or LA kids at all. Bo Davis will still be the LA guy for Texas. Porter may dive in a little but to no avail. His strength was always Texas. He got LA kids because he was at LSU, it's that simple.

Inside Texas, Burnt Orange Nation, and 24/7 have all mentioned past connections with Lyles. Also, Major Applewhite had connections with Lyles
until he realized what he was all about...
