What a joke. This bowl game is irrelevant. How can the Rose Bowl be taken seriously when they take a team with 5 losses. How the frick does a team like Wisconsin even deserve to get to play in the Rose Bowl?

Aren't they contractually obligated to take Wisconsin, as they are the Big10 champs and not playing for the MNC?

the rose bowl, while having a bad bowl this year, generally has one of the 3 best matchups. its the most prestigious bowl for a reason

The thing I hate the most about the Rose Bowl is that it's prevented many great bowl matchups from happening. The Rose Bowl robbed us of Washington vs. Miami in 1991, Penn State vs. Nebraska in 1994, and Michigan vs. Nebraska in 1997. And if the Rose Bowl rules were still in effect, Ohio State vs. Miami in 2002 and Texas vs. USC in 2005 would never have happened. Thank goodness things are different now.

If a 5-loss team won the SEC title, the Sugar Bowl would have to do the same thing. DWI.
Also, the freaking bowl game is in your team's fight song. Must still be somewhat relevant.
