In which you would say its ok for an LSU fan to be pulling for Bama on Jan 7?
Maybe spouse is a Bama fan?
I can't think of any possible reason a respectible LSU fan could actually want Bama to get another national title.

No frickin way. When I was back home, a lot of my friends that go to TCU are Bama fans. Makes me wish the game wasn't even going to happen

Forget Bama being the "hated SEC West rival" a moment. They are a team that LSU played, and played well, and lost to in a game they should have won. For me, it's better that team wins the title, and we as Tiger fans know we're right there with them. A Bama win solidifies LSU as a top 5 team for this season, and going into next.
A Notre Dame win pushes us down further this season, and leaves more uncertainty going into next year. Furthermore, the national hype that Notre Dame receives will be beyond overwhelming if they win.

The SEC has worked too hard to get the favor we get in the media/polls now. Especially going into a playoff in 2014. Remember when an undefeated Auburn got left out in 2004?? That would never happen now and we need the other SEC teams to help us keep it that way.

Do I think the Gumps will win, yes. However, I will not be waiving my SEC flag in support.

Because ND winning it would be catastrophically worse. It would degrade the SEC brand as a whole. The absolute worst thing I could think of is ND to win another NC. They already have their own TV contract.

Notre Dame is the highest order of entitlement,elitist bastion of college football. Especially for the NewYork media.

Not a Bama fan, but I really don't like Notre Dame! The title needs to stay in the SEC, although I'm tired of Bama winning.
