I know right! Epitome of blowing your wad early. I mean where do you go from there? I saw Paul McCartney at the Superdome in the early 90s. I was in an extremely receptive state of mind to fully undersatnd Let it Be.

I was only 8 years old when the Beatles rolled into San Diego, so my hat is off to MondayMorningMarch. My parents were pretty straight (okay, extremely uptight right wingers) so I wasn't allowed to go to concerts per se as a kid.

My first real "concert" was KISS and Rush at San Diego Civic Auditorium in the summer of 75.

Edited to add: I forgot about seeing Commander Cody at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin in February of 75, followed by many more epic concerts at that venue in 75 through 77.

Holy frick, that's a good one. Only thing I can try to match that with is......New Order at Nightlife. Dallas '83. Changed everything in music for me. BTW not my first show, so a little off topic. Sorry.

Statler Bros. Ft. Pierce, FL, Jai Alai Fronton. I was like 10 or 11 and HAD to go with my parents.

My first solo concert event was The Police, Ghost in the Machine Tour, 1981 (?), Assembly Center, BRLA. Joan Jett opened.

Beatles NOLA '64 so epic!! not just for first but to have seen them at all and that early

Really have a hard time remembering which one was first back in the haze of the 70s. Maybe Bloodrock '69. If not them maybe Billy Gibbons pre-ZZ Top band 13th Floor Elevators. Not at a concert venue but saw both Johnny & Edgar Winter at Signorelli's Bar (Slick's) in St. Martinville.

Never thought of this... if it was Gibbons pre-ZZ, the first concert I brought my son to (11-12yo) was ZZ Top. First one that he wanted to see that I brought him to was Metallica with Monster Magnet opening
