We've called "black bellied tree ducks" whistlers though




heck I never heard woodies called whistlers...

but we did have a kid with us kill several presidential water pheasants.....

he argued with his dad for 15 minutes... that those weren't coots..

Incorrect, a blue is a snow goose just a diff color. Same species just a different color phase kinda like labs. They don't change into white geese.

The immature don't have quite as white of a head.

Hell, Alx killed a blue that was banded thirteen years prior to killing it.

You my friend are correct. A blue goose is an immature Eagle head. And snows and blues can live well into their twenties.

yep. snows and blues are pretty much the same. lots of people don't realize that.


kind of hard to tell, but young blues are all blue, grow a white head when older.
young snows are grayish.
