I plan on doing so. Had to do Christmas last week because of work. So I will gladly take any recommendations for places that are open in Baton Rouge today.

Regarding Xmas closures:

Up here in Bossier all the grocery stores were closed except Albertons. They opened at 8 am and it was crowded with people that had nowhere else to go. Walmart was closed.

My Starbucks was closed so I had to go up the block to my secondary Starbucks and got into an argument with a very pretty barrista.

Me: This quad is colder than my Starbucks.
Girl: All of the espressos are the same temp.
Me: Nope, this is cold and it's because you dripped it into a shot glass and then poured it into a cup. My place drips the stuff straight into my cup.
Girl: Then they are not measuring. Just eye balling it.
Me: I prefer eye balling.

After drinking the cold espresso and noticing that there were no customers in the place...

Me: I've got $100 worth of gift cards I was gonna pass out at a dinner. The dinner got canceled so I...
Girl (interrupting me)...No, you can't get your money back. Sorry. It's not possible.
Me: That's not how I was going to finish my sentence. You remind me of my wife. She tries to guess where I'm going and she's always wrong.
Girl (laughing) OK, where are you going?
Me: Can you transfer the gift money to my gold card so I can get free drink credits?
Girl: Yes, I can.
Me: Thank you. And Merry Xmas.

Since this isn't a holy day and all you fairy take believers aren't working yes I'm going to the movies but making homemade pizzas instead of Chinese

FYI I heard that the Little Village is only open for lunch today not dinner.
