A Tony Romo perspective thread.(nm, it's a PJ lol thread)

I already hate myself for starting this, but it's something I was pondering last night, and I think it would be interesting to really sit back and think on "who would be better in Dallas" for those that still think Romo is a complete failure.
So the game goes like this, I'll give you a QB's name, and you pretend he's the Dallas QB. We are assuming everything else stays the exact same for Dallas up until this point in the season (same schedule, same roster and personnel relative to injuries etc.) So give me the Cowboys Record right now, if BLANK is the starting QB:
P-Manning:
Aaron Rodgers:
Tom Brady:
Drew Brees:
Eli Manning:
Phillip Rivers:
Jay Cutler:
Ben Roethlisberger:
Joe Flacco:
Matt Ryan:
Matt Schaub:
RGIII:
Andrew Luck:
Russel Wilson:
and our schedule/final scores
@NYG W 24-17
@Seattle L 7-27
Tampa Bay W 16-10
Chicago L 18-34
@Baltimore L 29-31
@Carolina W 19-14
NYG L 24-29
@Atlanta L 13-19
@Philadelphia W 38-23
Cleveland W 23-20
Washington L 31-38
Philadelphia W 38-33
@Cincinnati W 20-19
Pittsburgh W 27-24
New Orleans L 31-34
I'm looking very forward to the response from those of you that are knowledgeable about not only football, but at least a little bit familiar with the circumstances surrounding a lot of these games. Anyone that has paid attention at all, shouldn't have much of a problem remembering given the media coverage and microscope that was on the "frick-up" games.
And lets please try to answer the "record" question and keep the "tl;dr, frick Tony Homo, Stupid thread is stupid, Not this shite again etc." out of this Thread (I just covered all of that with this paragraph.) Lets try to trim the fat as much as possible and stay focused on the topic. Also I'd love it if PJ and RollTide1987 didn't come in here at all. That alone keeps the retardation factor a lot lower. TIA!

Don't know about the other ones but if Matt Ryan was on a team that didn't insist on trying to let old man turner run they would be 16-0

Your obsession with trying to make ROMO accepted is real strange.
Romo played his arse off yesterday. But there is NO way of telling how good the Cowboys would be with any of those other Qbs.I will say this though. The Cowboys WOULD have a SB by now IF, Rogers,Brees,Brady or either Manning was their QB.

P-Manning: 13-2
Aaron Rodgers: 11-4
Tom Brady: 13-2
Drew Brees: 13-2
Eli Manning: 9-6
Phillip Rivers: 9-6
Jay Cutler: 7-8

Joe Flacco: 6-9
Matt Ryan: 10-5
Matt Schaub: 10-5
RGIII: 8-7
Andrew Luck: 9-6
Russel Wilson: 9-6
Conclusion: There are a handful of elite QBs with the rest ranging from good to ordinary. Romo is nothing more than ordinary.

Some of the more mobile QB's probably get more W's because they are good at running for their life and I have seen them succeed in similar situations combined with the fact that I doubt they would have completely shite the bed vs Chicago and the 1st half vs NYG in the 2nd game.
I gave Eli a 6-9 record because he can and will make similar mistakes as Romo, only I think he would have made even more in a few games this year where Romo actually didn't frick up. Also I wanted to give Peyton Manning more wins, but I keep seeing him being carted off the field in like week 5 or 6 if he played for us.

Your records are PATHETIC. Your making it[AS USUAL} that Romo is a top three QB in the league. I don't know what is worse Ghazis LOVE for Dirk or yours for Romo. BOTTOM LINE is that he is a decent QB.

Mine would be around this. The Cowboys offensive line has played like garbage at times this year. They're on their 3rd center, the guards stank it up earlier this year and Doug Free has regressed from when he signed his contract. Tony Romo has only been this good this year (and that's saying something for someone with 15 INTs) because he's willing to throw it up and gets lucky sometimes (and obviously unlucky with so many INTs thrown).

I'm more laughing at him because 1.) He's one of the few people I didn't want coming in here when I posted this and 2.) LOL if you really think Brees would only lose 2 after he's lost 2 just by himself with the current Saints roster. And fwiw, Dallas and New Orleans have a lot of parallels as far as very talented personnel on offense (yet sketchy in key parts and not a real great running game) and zero defense. I was really hoping some of y'all wouldn't be so subjective and way less homerish. Is that too much to ask for?

OK. I agree, you also should not waste your time. You and PJ both may go now!

I'm an Eagles fan, and I've never understood the sheer hatred for Romo. He's made some bumbling mistakes, sure, but he's also often THE reason Dallas remains in games and competitive. He plays behind a shoddy OL and has for a few years. He has had some good skill talent, but then other guys flourish simply by playing with him (Laurent Robinson most recently).
Romo isn't an all-timer. He may not even be great. But he's very good.

Tony Romo is an ordinary QB. The sooner you accept this fact, the sooner you can find a QB that can actually take you to the Super Bowl.
