Dan Patrick just Suggested the Saints should tank.

This Sunday, that a win knocking the Cowboys out of the playoffs would hasten the firing of Garrett, and the hiring of Payton.

He didn't advocate tanking. He said it was an interesting situation in that a Saints victory could lead to Garrett being fired and Payton being in play for Jerry Jones.

with us already had six wins, I don't think it's going to make all that much difference draft position honestly. At this point, we still have a playoff shot no matter how small it is. You might as well play to win but you never know what's going to happen.
Anyone who thinks Paytons return hinges on that is pretty off-base in my opinion. Even if the Cowboys barely make it into the playoffs, you really think they're going to go that far? I doubt just making the playoffs is going to Save Garrett job any more than just missing them

I rooted for the Hornets to lose the latter part of last year and we ended up getting Anthony Davis. I am doing the same thing with the Hornets this year. I just can't bring myself to do it with the Saints, not when we still have even the tiniest hopes of a playoff berth

I will never root for the Saints to lose. Saints defense isn't much help though. Tired of these player experiments. Time to upgrade ASAP
