I have 5 bunkered and one opened. Those of us who appreciate ETL should grab what we can if you see it under $30.

Found a shelf full today. Bought 2, hoping they don't mind flying home in my suitcase. Now I've got to decide which beers are going to get cut.

I would be down for a couple bottles

Also this weekend I tried a buddies bottle of jps 18 batch 13. It was very very good. I think it's def worth the price if anyone can find a bottle.

I can get a bottle of Jo's 18 batch 13 for 130 right now. Being new to bourbon tasting, I'm just afraid that I won't be able to appreciate the taste difference that that kind of coin would merit.

It's gonna be good no matter how "seasoned" of a taster you are...

I'm not saying it won't be. I'm still trying to learn what I like, and what it is that causes it. For instance, I love Woodfords. A lot of people on here like Eagle Rare, but I'm not a fan. I'm just afraid of buying a $130 bottle of bourbon and not liking it.

Not a bad way to look at it. Im the opposite, Eagle Rare is one of my go-tos and i really dont care much for woodford. JPS18 is wheated so you need to find out if you like wheated bourbon. Go buy a bottle of Weller 12. Should be under $30

That being said, JPS18 is hard to find and getting much harder. Id damn near pick it up for trade value

From what I've tasted and researched, the 13th barrel will probably still provide a tremendous bourbon, just a bit more oaky.

I've finished my JPS 17 (Barrel #3) and have JPS 18 (Barrel #10) in the decanter...I thought the 17-year was cleaner, but may actually be more fond of the 18-year I have now...could be because I'm enjoying higher proofs & spicier offerings a little more these days.

Don't call me on it, but if you're used to Woodford and the like, this one will be a real treat. The other thing is that it's a limited commodity, so you may regret not getting it down the road.

If you have the means, I'd say go for it...

You're not going to find much better in knoxville. Mcscrooges is your best bet and the only thing they will have now is private selections of your more readily available selections. Not that im saying their private selections arent great because they always are, but your not going to find any limited releases right now

I was in knoxville a month ago and did some searching. Now in about 2 months you should be able to find some good stuff in the knoxville area
