Gonna have to cut down the barrel to make a SBR. No swapping that 16"er out.

Cut it and crown it. If you have the right tools and knowledge its pretty easy. Brownells makes a crowning kit but its pretty expensive.

That is exactly what I was talking about. Its nothing difficult nor unusual to do. Very cost effective but not the most accurate. I am betting that a smith would charge less than $100 to do the work. A lot less than a 10" barrel and a lot easier to find/get done.

If you go to Iraqveteran888's youtube page he goes through the process while doing a moisin nagant sporter conversion. He does it with a belt grinder and the brownells kit. Creppy Larry has a video where he does it with a file and the kit, although Creppy Larry didnt remove much metal.

I wish he was my physics instructor. Guy can teach a cat to take showers. Brilliant man.

How do you guys feel about the VLTOR EMOD Stock? Any of you guys have/had one? Pros/Cons/Personal opinions? I like the fact that I can store up to 6 AA battrees in it, plus it looks cool too.

Planning on it, just wanted to see if anybody had personal experience first.

I have a buddy that's gonna give me his Magpul version of that stock the next time I see him. He loved it but said he wanted something different (more money than sense).
I have heard that the Voltor or whatever it's called is rough on your face, especially if you have a beard. Those gaps are perfect for pulling out your hair, so I've heard.

On my phone right now but that sounds like it. I'll update when I get on my comp and that's not it.

I've got my butt stock, grip, trigger guard, and Troy rail all in FDE, just waiting to find mag to complete her.
