I have had pretty good luck at Siegen Academy, so maybe try there around 7:30 then head over to Airline Academy. Then you can call the walmarts in the area, because the get shipments in at different times. Some in BR get them overnight and stock for 7am, and some in denham get them throughout the day.

My quest to get an AR15 was achieved when I pulled off a purchase for a DPMS at the Airline Academy today. So relived.

So now, I guess my next quest is to nail down additional 30 round mags and .223 ammo.

I can accessorize it later since the mags and rifle are the only things we have to be concerned about getting ripped from us.

I'm starting to enjoy the chase . . . . . I think.

Suggestions on Mags and Ammo places I should look? Thanks in advance.

I'll have 20 PMAGs in a couple of days, but I can't sell them on here

I suggest you stay glued to this thread, the Academy thread, and open several tabs with ar15.com. They have ammo threads and magazine watch threads. Look for PMAGs that are $20 and less, E-Landers are supposed to be good steel mags under $20, as well as D&H mags under $20.

Also open gunboat.net, but anything that pops up under $0.50 a round disappears instantly, so have your credit card ready.

Walmart and Academy get regular shipments at good prices, but usually sell out by 8:15 am, so you have to be in line early.

Be diligent. I've got over 50 mags none cost me more than $25 and most cost less than $18.

Ammo is a different story but i do have around 3k of 5.56 and average cpr was between. 40 and. 45.

I have gotten most my deals from ar15.com

Finally got around to shooting my glock 19. Which I guess is good considering I have my CC class Saturday and I haven't fired a pistol since I was 7.

Anyway, not to hijack the thread but here was my last 5 shots from 40 feet. Aiming for the forehead/between the eyes. I can't run and do this yet but I'm hoping to have that walking dead ability soon.

Confession though...

The wife shot too and I put 1 in the mag for her first shot for ease of mind. She was a little nervous. Anyway, the shell didn't eject and I was pissed. Not only was it a Glock but it was brand new, and this was after I had already shot 14 and they all cycled. I loaded 1 more into the mag and while I was doing so, the wife told me the slide hit her hand a little. I looked and there wasn't blood so I carried on. Quickly chambered and fired because I wanted to know what was wrong.

Didn't eject again. I slid the slide back to get the shell out and was livid. A split second later, my hand started to hurt so I looked down and the slide had caught me bad. Blood was running down my hand, I felt like a noob but at least I figured out why the shell wouldn't eject.

After sneaking to the bathroom to clean off and not be noticed I starting shooting again, all while being harassed and ridiculed by the wife.

Not sure why I am admitting this but at least I shot well considering I basically never shot a pistol before.

Well, in my defense I shot on Tuesday night and I took that picture this morning in the parking lot when I got to work.

BTW, if you have all 15 rounds in the mag it takes a bit of force to get the mag to click in (not just a simple slide in like with 14 or less). Realized that when I got home after my first 3 shots went "click" since the mag wasn't all the way in but stayed in the gun since the 15 made it a tight fit.

My dad damn near broke his thumb off the 1st time he shot my glock45

I just never though about telling him to make sure his thumb wasnt behind the slide...

And you'd think I would have learned, considering I was wiping off blood the rest of the time.

I picked up the gun to shoot the last 10. After nailing 5 from 20 feet I decided to shoot the last 5 at 40. I guess from a combination of excitement and never having learned to properly hold a gun, I picked it up and immediately held it the comfortable way for me, which lead to the bleeding. As I'm pulling the trigger the wife stops me from doing it AGAIN

Would have hurt like hell and gotten blood all in the slide.

Damn I felt retarded.

Then I shot the last 5 seen in the picture above and I started not to hate myself as much.

And that's why people need ARs. So they dont get their hand in a bind when a burgular breaks in.

I keed

i can wait. I really like the versatility of the 1-8 and its a little more unique. Plus i can use the extra two months before it hits my CC.

Also if i went 1-7, i'd want the fluted one. OOS as well.
