On XM College football radio this morning ONLY Bama (BCSCG), Vandy "home" game in Nashville, and Ole Miss have sold out their bowl allotments.
UF only about 5400 Sugar Bowl tickets sold.
FSU only 4000 Orange Bowl tickets sold. Sad.
Correction.... Stanford sold allottment of 31,000 for Rose Bowl.

Point is... Economy has been rough, bowl matchups suck, and holiday travel for a meaningless and televised game is not attractive to fans.
Fix it... 15 bowls max... That way virtually every game is a top 20 matchup.

Yea, they're going to stop giving good tickets to the people responsible for paying each school millions, that'll happen. The bowl doesn't care if LSU sells all of its allotment, they're on the hook for the tickets regardless. LSU obviously cares, or they should. But I'm a season ticket holder, and I haven't gotten a single email asking me to buy bowl tickets since this matchup was announced.

Yea good point. Still, no reason to pay full price from LSU to sit at the top of the GA Dome.
