It's been pointed out (correctly in my opinion) that pollsters have rated Ohio State lower than they would have if they weren't on probation this year.

we'd have to go into the mind of each and every AP voter... you might say it's due to probation, but maybe they just aren't the team that Alabama or whoever is?

I'm ignoring it because it's a bad point. You can't possibly tell me you know what all 60+ of the pollsters were thinking there, especially when there's a valid case that doesn't involve probation for OSU being #3.

tOSU would be #2

It's pretty fricking stupid to try and argue it, especially using the Ap poll

I think its a good point when you consider that their poll pattern this year was completely out of whack with what every other BCS conference unbeaten always does in the polls.

You jump teams that lose in the poll if you are unbeaten in the Pac, Big XII, SEC, B1G, or ACC.

The SEC has a lot of respect, but it doesn't have that much. I thought the result last season undermined the BCS System, but if tOSU had gone undefeated and gotten left out for a 1-loss SEC team it would have been 10x worse.

Ignoring history is invalid? Because in the past if a team like Ohio State was one of two undefeated teams they got into the championship game. The only time an undefeated team from a BCS conference was left out of the BCSBCG was when there were 3 undefeated teams in 2004.

Don't forget UC in 2009...the Big East is an AQ conference.

Same reason as Auburn but it's happened twice.
