Watching this on BBCAmerica, and I have to say that after almost 20 years, this two-part episode still stands up as one of the best of episodic televison.

One of the best episodes of the entire TNG series.

One of the best TV show Finales ever.

Q sure laid it all out before that monkey Picard, "Aw, nothing happened."

So, was Picard a Q?

Do you have to be born a Q?

Could Q make you a Q?

I think Q wanted Picard to be part of the Continuum.

Didn't Q offer to make Riker a Q, and even give him a taste?

As for Picard, I think Q just liked messing with him, though he did respect him on some unfathomable level.

I don't know many episode names, but I do know that one, and the ranking of (1) is indeed the correct ranking. Another favorite is the one with the alien race that communicated basically in memes; it seems ever more relevant today.

For a two part episode I would have to say my favorite is "The Best of Both Worlds". For a single episode, I have to give "Darmok" the nod over "The Inner Light".

Come on (In no particular order):

1) The Lower Decks (aka Below Decks). I love the perspective of the Enterprise from a totally different angle.
2) Yesterday's Enterprice. TNG's darkest episode.
3) The Arsenal of Freedom. Great battle sequences.
4) Tin Man. Another dark episode.
5) Tapestry. A great example of what happens when you meddle with history.

WTH? I was just trying to speak as Q frequently did, consistently with how he treated humans, with Picard being his proxy for humanity. It was a comment on Q, not Picard.

Maybe "Darmok"?

Yes, Darmok. That and Inner Light are my two favorite. Although the chain of command two parter was great as well. Patrick Stewart should have been nominated for an emmy for that episode and Inner Light. Plus that two parter had Ronnie Cox in it.

I forgot about that one. Part 2 was Stewart's best episode.

What is the one where Q fricks with shite and Picard exists at different times. He then takes him back to the beginning of life on earth. Data is a professor at Oxford. Picard did something that causes a rip in space that travels back in time and gets larger the further back it goes.
