I see a Miami 05 beatdown coming.

This game reminds me of the Peach bowl in 05 in a lot of ways.

1. Fans feel like the team should have gone to a better bowl, but got jipped because of outside circumstances.

2005-LSU played 11 games in just over 10 weeks because of the 2 hurricanes that year. In the SEC CG against UGA, the team looked tired and drained. We lose and get to go straight back to atlanta for the bowl.

2012-We all know what happened this year.

2. The opposing team is a good ACC team with strong record.

2005-MIami in 05 was ranked 9th coming into the game and was 9-2 just barely missing out on a BCS game.

2012-Clemson is 10-2 and would be BCS bound if not for losing to FSU.

3. The opposing fan base and team is cocky.

2005- Miami was just 4 years removed from its last title including finishing a close second in 02 (it was not PI) so they had some reason to be cocky even though LSU was 2 years removed from its last title. The players overconfidence was apparent also, but Miami gonna Miami, right?

2012-Who the hell knows why Clemson fans are cocky but they are. My guess is seeing those inflated offensive numbers gets them a little overstimulated and overconfident. LSU's "boring" defense will put them back in their place though. Cant tell if Clemsons team is cocky but it will be apparent during the 1st quarter.

4. All the experts are calling it one of the top 3 bowls to watch.

2005-LSU Miami was highly anticipated even though it was not a new years bowl.

2012- This Clemson game is getting the same anticipation.
