Pretty good hire he went 20-8 as head coach at Boston College before bolting for the NFL...

Trent Miles from Indiana St. is the HC. He took over after Bill Curry retired...

Ga. St. is moving up to FBS this year, will play in the Sunbelt...

In terms of complete career collapse, is he one of the worst of all-time? (excluding cases of NCAA violation and personal indiscretion)

Without knowing the full list of who would fit the category, I'd say he's up there. Apparently he's a huge a-hole to work with.

Boston College was stupid. He got fired for interviewing for the Jets job. He went 20-8 and won his division both years. Lost ACC CG both years to VT after beating them in the regular season.

BC has gone 22-29 since, 2-10 this year and fired Frank Spaziani.

How are you going to ever hire a good coach when you fire someone just because they interview for a better job? Seriously? They need to fire that AD and start over. I hope Jags got a ton of cash for the final three years of his BC contract since they fired him without cause.

yes

HOWEVER, a lot of that has to do with his inability to actually coach well. steve logan made BC hum under jags

jags had some major issues in tampa bay, including allegations that he didn't even study/know his own playbook

that tampa bay stop was much more damaging than the BC fiasco

This.

Getting fired from your job as OC before coaching one regular-season game because you are completely incompetent tends to tank your market value.

Hopefully this will boost his career again. He was good at BC.

Where is Logan these days?

I always thought he would be a tremendous hire.
