Do we have some sort of deal with the league as a whole?

I get the point that it gives them an opportunity to play earlier than they'd be able to up North.

I saw he scheduled Ole Miss, Florida and South Carolina to finish the year. Those will be pretty exciting!

This year's non-conference schedule is much better than last years.

Wow, just looked at the nonconference schedule for the first time in awhile. That's about as bad as I've seen.

Ivy League baseball is not as bad as you think
They've been pretty competitive in games against LSU - much better than SWAC

They usually have one stud pitcher that is regional caliber

Northern Teams have to come South in early part of the season due to being very cold. Also their field may be covered with snow, etc. They have to Schedule Teams in the South in order to be able to play.

Washington and Maryland are better than anyone we had on tap last year.

Maryland won't be bad this year. They should make the NCAA tournament as an middle of the ground at large.

We played Harvard in a regional one year before the sub/super regional split. I believe the purpose they keep moving the regionals and CWS back is to allow the northern teams to start later and get a full season in and be more competitive. Not a fan of it. Just pushes our regionals back into an even hotter time frame and the northern teams still suck.
