Get 'em, Tom. I mean, they're fricking with his money. I don't know much about the man, but I do know he likes his money more than most.

Does this mean Benson thinks it's a very real possibility that he does go elsewhere? Why would he threaten if there were no doubt in signing him?

I think he should sue regardless. They fricked his franchise up.

I know he likes his SB winning coach.

I've been wondering this, and forgive me if this has been discussed, if it is determined that there was no pay to injure, what repercussions do the Saints organization have?

It means he is pissed that he has to renegotiate a contract he already completed yet isn't allowed to negotiate yet

Well shite, now I'm confused. Maybe I'm wrong then. I thought Loomis and Sean's agent were talking already.......or were about to or something like that....

Sorry for the false info if not

Shouldn't Payton be the person Benson's pissed off at, if he leaves?

All the league did was not allow certain terms in the original extension. They didnt bar Payton from staying with the Saints. If Payton leaves, thats on Payton, not Goodell.

Benson has chance to win. According to Schefter, precedent has been established for these type clauses. This is first time league has objected.

I thought Sean could negotiate with Saints on new contract.

From 11/29

quote:

NFL and Sean Payton’s agent Don Yee are finalizing conditions under which suspended Saints HC can negotiate a contract extension with NO.

ETA and he hasn't posted anything since then to indicate negotiations are now allowed.
