Good ol' redneck kids are probably safer than a lot of the city-slicker adult hunters we all see on a daily basis. Accidents are accidents
I agree, lots of questions still left to be answered and investigations to be done, and this is probably not the best place for that to unfold. But assumptions based on age alone are not accurate, the fact that they were using lead shot(and I may or may not know of people who have done similar things at that age...and they all turned out pretty good) and knew that they could get in trouble for it, tells me this was not their first duck hunt, and probably knew a lot more about hunting than a lot of adults.
